An account of the craftwork I get up to, tatting, spinning, knitting, sewing, whatever

One Repeat
I've finished a complete repeat of Kaffe Fassett's chart, tulips facing this way and that. I'll need at least three repeats for a clutch bag, perhaps four. I'm going to see what the 'fundis' in my craft group think before I carry on.
I think in this repeat, the line between the 2 shades of beads is a bit too stark and 'obvious'. The eye keeps getting drawn to the line instead of the overall pattern or the tulips. I like the lower row better - with subtle shading in each tulip.
This will make a great clutch bag

ReplyDeleteYes, the subtler ones are much more satisfying. I thought I had masses of beads until I tried pairing colours!
ReplyDeleteLovely Tulips and your work is stunning. <3
