Like Lace-lovin' Librarian, I feel the need to tat, though I have knitting projects with deadlines. I didn't have to take much time off knitting to tat these. I have an idea for a necklace, but thought I'd try it out on earrings first. I think my idea will work, though it will mean having a lot of beads on the shuttle. That project will have to wait until the knitting is done though.
The rings have a layered / overlapping effect ! Nice :-)
ReplyDeleteI love them, very beautiful I don't do beading very often but at the bottom where you have 4 beads in one be one the ring to start with and the other 3 slid down? or are all 4 on there at same time?
ReplyDeleteYou put 3 beads at the back of the hand when you begin the ring. Then when you get to the right place, move one bead up on the shuttle thread and have a 'picot' with the 3 beads from the ring. Clever, isn't it? I think you might find proper instructions on Jane Eborall's technique page.
