Spot the Mistake

I thought I'd block the round 5 motifs I've done so far before I took a photo of them. Just as well, because while they were drying, I did some counting and realised I had an odd number of repeats on round 4. That's not going to work because each motif joins to two chains on round 4. It took me some time to find the mistake, but eventually I saw it - just to the right of the lowest star in the picture above.  At the end of round 4, I've added an extra repeat of the pattern. Sigh.... Now to sort it out.

  1. With a quick glance, I can't spot the mistake. Maybe if I took some time... naaah! It looks pretty as it is, but I do understand why it won't work. I'd be tempted to just cut off those few flowers and leave the doily as it is... tempted, but like you, I'd be sorting it out.

  2. Oh what a pity, it looking so nice so far. I must get back to mine, I left it to one side when I went on holiday and not picked it up since.

  3. How annoying but well worth putting right as it's such a pretty design and I love the colours you're using too.

  4. yipes! at least it shouldn't be too hard to remove that extra repeat and reattach the ends of rnd 4. Good luck with the fix.

  7. Oh no!

Funny, isn't it that you do not see the obvious till you are horrified at seeing the photo. What a shame!

    Pretty and so worth fixing.
