First the medallions. Then the fiddly inbetween bits.
I'm not sure that I have this right. It doesn't lie absolutely flat once the inbetween bits are in. Do I carry on and hope that the next row will bring it all into line, or alter the stitch count and have another go? Hmmm.
Very pretty. Have you tried ironing it? What thread did you use?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I suspect that ironing might make it worse! Can you see on the close up photo that the ring on the top medallion is not lying flat? The thread is Coats, size 20
ReplyDeleteI watch with baited breath, as mine has paused after round 4. I was unsure about colour choice...but now I am also waiting to see how you resolve the cupping/folding issue.
ReplyDeleteAlso I looked at her one again, she has an added clover leaf for stability... What do you think, perhaps that might help? I am guessing it is one of those things where the picot length might be the problem, so frustrating. :(
ReplyDeleteTatting Margaret on Intatters says that it's probably not a major problem. I'm going to carry on and hope that the next round pulls it into shape. Were I you, I'd see how this goes. It was looking so good up to now, but now I'm a bit concerned!
ReplyDeleteIt's so very beautiful and I can't wait to see it finished!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI was just about to leave you a comment and then I saw you had seen my reply on intatters, don't worry mine duped the same and it's ok now I have done the next round.
ReplyDelete,
Margaret
I hope the next round does pull it into shape. It is looking so pretty.
