Still Crotcheting

Sorry to have been awol again for so long. I had no idea that internet fibre could break and require splicing by a very elusive technician.

I have been working on more necklaces. I probably get more done when the internet is unavailable! It's hard to do justice to this one, the gold beads don't show up well, but here's my best attempt:

As you can see, this is another 'double' design, different on one side from the other.

I'm working on another one, the same pattern but different colours. I should finish today if I don't get too distracted by blogs and Facebook.

  1. I really like the pattern of this one! The gold is really striking. I also like the colors of the one you're working on. You've probably mentioned this before, but about how long does it take you to string the beads for a necklace? I imagine it's quite time consuming.

  2. This one was more time consuming than most, because it’s 9 beads around and a complicated pattern. It took 10 minutes to thread a pattern repeat and 20 minutes to crochet it. There are 25 repeats, so about 12 and a half hours for the whole thing.

    1. I'm sure you've developed a rhythm. I imagine it would take a beginner quite a bit longer. Beautiful work!

  3. The gold one has an Egyptian feel - I love it! 💕
Wow, over 12 hours for one necklace. Sincerely hope you get a good remuneration 💗💖💗

  4. Maybe it's just me, but that gold one reminds me of a diamondback rattlesnake. It would wear well with a pair of snakeskin boots. Looks great!
