It Works!

Aha. Now I'm wondering why I've never tried before to sew tatting on with a sewing machine!

I cut the braid one ring below where I wanted it and unraveled that ring. I could have hidden those ends in the usual tatting way, but I threaded them through to the wrong side of the fabric and did a couple of stitches there. I thought that would help anchor the tatting to the fabric.

  1. Works great, Yay 😍
I've machine-sewn a braid on a bedsheet before because the lace was green and the sheet yellow. With machine, I could use green top thread and yellow below. There's a post somewhere in my blog.

    1. Ok, I used green thread on top and white underneath.

  2. Nicely done! If I ever get past Ice Drops, I'll have to give this a try!

    1. You could use ice drops instead of cloth flowers!

  3. It does work! Well done!! I wish we could take a tour of your house to feel and admire your curtains. OK, I've just got cabin fever now!

    1. I think I’m inoculated against cabin fever after years of living in isolated places. But I have a lot of sympathy for those who suddenly find themselves confined and aren’t used to it.
