Joining As I Go

I had another look at this video to remind myself how to join squares on the last round of each square. It's simple enough, but I needed a refresher. The video is clear, so off I went. I'm putting another green round on each square and joining in a grid of 9 squares across and 12 long.  It's fun deciding which colour flower to put where.

  1. Yes, that is the reason I like to use colours, though it calls for another level of decisuon-making 😄
Love the flowers sprinkled on a grassy expanse 💚

  3. This is looking gorgeous, I was not able to keep up with you while I was away, I did meet up with two ladies from South Africa who were on the ship. They were very taken with my tatting, one looked up the videos on how to tat, they were knitting some wool they brought in Norway on round needles, they needed something to do and brought the wool and a needle in a wool shop when the ship stopped. In Norway they knit on round needles and the lady in the shop had never heard of straight needles.

    1. I wonder if they'll carry on with round needles or go back to straight ones! Hopefully one of them will try tatting.

    2. I hope one of them will at least try tatting she was very interested on the ship, I brought a kit on board ship for a hat and that had a round needle in it, not sure when I will get around to knitting it, the wool is so soft and luxurious
