Tatting doesn't really lend itself to square, with its curved chains and circular rings. But I increased the size of the rings at the corners and think this one looks better than yesterday's version. I could perhaps increase the outward-facing rings a wee bit more. I blocked it, but don't want a design that has to be blocked into submission!
Yup, a little more on the corners and (maybe) a ds less each side of the side chains? Nearly there and it's looking even better. None of this is wasted as you've got a gorgeous result anyway.ReplyDelete
Absolutely wonderful !!!ReplyDelete
Would increasing the corner chains a notch prevent the need to block ?
I agree, this one does look better! Tweaking designs sure takes a lot of time, doesn't it?ReplyDelete
I so admire those of you who design and especially something like this which is square. You are amazing!ReplyDelete
It looks great!! :) I was thinking maybe shortening the side chains, but not the corner chains.ReplyDelete
Yes, I agree with God's Kid and I too just tried at making a square and it is fun.I think it is because it is a task that doesn't overwhelm us. But I think she will use our other tries 🦋😄🦋ReplyDelete
I agree with previous comments, also I think a little trefoil in the corner could help. I also like that you can see the back tatting through the transparent glass.ReplyDelete
I agree with the last three comments, a great design well doneReplyDelete
This square tatted Ice Drop is unique and very Pretty in Pink.ReplyDelete
Pretty Ice Drop! The square also works in ice drops. I could not guess. Interesting!ReplyDelete
