I discovered my leaf braid lurking in the bottom of a handbag I haven't used for some time. It was in a horrible tangle! I spent some time sorting it out and then decided to get on and finish it. I used up all the Cebelia 20 thread. It's a pattern I really like working, so it didn't matter that I don't have a specific use for it. I've wound it around the original core of the thread, in the hope of preventing future tangles.
Great idea! I've often thought of tatting yards of edging for future use. I just haven't gotten around to it!
ReplyDeleteI remember this, now that I look more closely, I see what an interesting pattern it is. I hope you find a use for it as it's quite nice. The spool is a great place to store it!
ReplyDeleteI Love this pattern even though I tatted it incorrectly ;-P Hope to do it correctly some day :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have to find a use for this lovely braid, its too good to hide away.

What a great find. I use one of those pink sponge curlers to keep long tatting on.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a good idea!
DeleteIt is lovely and I love this color too. I want to tat some yards like this too, I went out and bought these pretty wooden spools the wrap them around and haven't got around to it yet, would you believe? :)

I really like your leaf braid and this soft green color. I see it being used on Crazy Quilting seams along with silk ribbon embroidered flowers. <3
