Leaves

I discovered my leaf braid lurking in the bottom of a handbag I haven't used for some time. It was in a horrible tangle! I spent some time sorting it out and then decided to get on and finish it. I used up all the Cebelia 20 thread. It's a pattern I really like working, so it didn't matter that I don't have a specific use for it. I've wound it around the original core of the thread, in the hope of preventing future tangles.

  1. Great idea! I've often thought of tatting yards of edging for future use. I just haven't gotten around to it!

  2. I remember this, now that I look more closely, I see what an interesting pattern it is. I hope you find a use for it as it's quite nice. The spool is a great place to store it!

  5. What a great find. I use one of those pink sponge curlers to keep long tatting on.

  8. I really like your leaf braid and this soft green color. I see it being used on Crazy Quilting seams along with silk ribbon embroidered flowers. <3
