More Sheets

I'm working on another set of sheets and pillowcases. This time I have a better idea of how long the job will take.

Working with great swathes of fabric is a bit daunting. But whizzing along a very long seam is quite satisfying.

  1. It never ceases to amaze me to see how many crafts you manage to do. And not only that, making sheets and pillow cases, how do you find the time? Love the colour

  2. Is it less expensive to make your own sheets? We can get them so inexpensively here that I've never even thought of making my own. In fact, I sometimes buy sheets to make other projects!

    1. I think it's only worthwhile because there's a shop in town that sells good quality sheeting for less than I can buy sheets for. The sheets I bought were synthetic and shoddy. But I've never bothered before so I quite understand where you're coming from.

  3. My first love is sewing, and if you use that presser foot that has a curved bar in center it will roll the edge under for you and cut time too, I know you have this foot it come with most machines too. I with I could show this to you it is fun.

    1. I had a foot like that for my old machine tho I confess I didn't use it much. I needed you to show me the right way to use it!

  4. Yes, those large sheets can be quite unwieldy ! I sew summer coverlets (because of the choice of fabric I can customize to taste) & even though the sewing is one straight line, it can be quite 'unmanageable' ;-)
Quite a royal colour there :-)

  6. Make my own sheets? Just thinking about it makes me want to shriek and run for the hills!!

However, I truly admire those who not only can, but also do!
