Woven
I thought I'd turn my weaving into a pouch for my cell phone. Turns out, it's a bit too snug to be practical. A shuttle or two might fit perhaps. Here's how it looked before I took it off the 'loom':
I liked it better on the loom ; didn't realise it changes colour when taken off ..... it's turned all blue ! ;-P Very interesting technique and love how you converted it into a pouch. The yellow and orange fringe seems to be separate scraps, knotted individually ? That would take quite some dexterity !
It's amazing how the tension of the loom makes the fabric seem so much larger than it actually is. I like the idea of using it as a shuttle pouch!
ReplyDeleteSo cute love the yellow knots and it could be for chap-stick too!

I don't know why the loom colours look truer! Yes, those fringes are fine on such a small scale, but would be time consuming on a full scale loom.
DeleteWhat happens to all the warp threads that remain on the loom & are not covered by weaving , Jane ?
DeleteI wove them in with a needle, hid them within the fabric. Rather ineptly, I have to say, but that's the theory.
DeleteGreat little pouch!! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and fun idea.
