No, not the boy band. A crocheted rectangle would usually be worked back and forth. But crochet has a right and wrong side. Since I'm using a different colour wool for each row, I decided to start each row on the same side and have all the stitches facing the same way, rather than turning the work. Like frontside/backside tatting, the difference is not huge, but it does give a smoother look.
That sounds like a LOT of work and a lot of ends to hide eventually. LOVE the colours and the pattern. WOW.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to look scrumptious ! Love the colours & now you have a popular band to play along ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo, are you finishing off at the end of each row? That sounds like a lot of work! I really like the way the colors are working together.
ReplyDeleteThose colours are amazing - I did not know there was a right and a wrong side to crochet, but can see why
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteLove those colours, I've followed your past posts and there's a great work behind. Yes it seems to be a fussiness but I really like the final effect of all stiches frontside. My grunny taught me how to crochet from the backside, then once I saw her crochetting one line normal and the other backside. I've not tried yet, though.
ReplyDelete(granny... Sorry Jane)
DeleteOh, this is already gorgeous! If I were the judge, I'd give you first prize right now. This is going to look *amazing* when it is finished.
ReplyDeleteLooks great so far!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour crochet looks beautiful and gorgeous colours together, do you end up with a lot of ends or can you see them in as you go.
