I had to give some thought to how to sew the pieces of the Molly poncho together. Once I'd worked out what went where, I decided to use backstitch, working from the right side.
And the wrong side:
The original pattern by Stacey Lozano doesn't have an edging around the poncho, but I think I'll do one to give it a better finish. I also have to fill the neck area in, following Stacey's pattern.
Fantastic! - I looked at the pattern, and the instructions to fill in the neckline are really "suggestions"aren't they? - I can't work from patterns like that, I need it all spelled out, t's crossed and i's dotted. At my age, I ought to rise above that mindset and be a bit more adventurous.
ReplyDeleteYes, the whole pattern is a bit vague. The clear pictures help though.
DeleteBeautiful !!! Just noticed that the 2 panels are not identical; but they work / gel together nicely . Yes, I agree, an edging would enhance the look. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! I would want to add an edging also. Somehow an edging seems to add just a bit of flair that makes it one's own.
ReplyDeleteYour poncho is looking good, the colours have blended perfectly together, you must be very pleased by how it is going!
