Stumpy
For the next batch of bookmarks I used Kersti Anear's Stumpy pattern. Great pattern. I don't really like that multicolour thread, the colour changes are too sudden. It's a Milford Satin 2 ply. I wonder if I could overdye it?
I made one like the stumpy one, and a friend held it up to her ear and said make me another one I'll were them as ear rings. And I agree with you variegated threads can bite you back!
Lovely bookmarks! I'm also drawn to the variegated threads when I see them in the ball, but not always as pleased with how they look when tatted. Most of the time I find that the solid colors show off the stitches more.
These bookmarks are lovely, I have not done this pattern, one to try.
ReplyDeleteHave you got many more to do or are you nearly at the end.
Margaret
The pink's nice, though - the shade-on-shade always looks elegant.
ReplyDeleteWonderful bookmarks and very pretty!! :)

ReplyDeleteGood idea! Use size 80 thread and they'd make perfect earrings.
DeleteIt was size 40 that I ended up using in ecru. but 80 sounds nice I like that idea.
DeleteYour Stumpy bookmarks look great! I especially like the blue one! ;-)
