For the second time in a week, thieves stole a length of electricity cable outside Vryburg, so the whole town and a large swathe of farmland were without power until it could be replaced. Luckily for me, our power comes from a different direction, so we had electricity, but our internet connection was affected. Our connection to the world is beamed to us from Vryburg. That's why I didn't update this blog yesterday or last Saturday.
These are facecloths that I added tatted motifs to, to go with the towels I've been working on. Here's a link to Martha Ess's folded rings technique page where I found the flower pattern.
Sorry to hear about stole a length of electricity cable outside!
ReplyDeleteI like your facecloths!Well done!
Sorry please my bad english!
Have a nicec day.
Your English isn't bad, don't apologise! Thanks for your comment.
DeleteThat's a wonderful idea for face cloths! Wouldn't it be a great Christmas present?
ReplyDeleteI don't really understand thievery. We were robbed Mother's Day weekend, and it still makes me sick to think of someone in our home stealing sentimental pieces and leaving truly valuable items. I have no sympathy for thieves.
Really horrible to have your home robbed.
DeleteThis is a thought-provoking post....it shall remain in my mind for some time. Cables in Canada are just not stolen like that.... yet, anyway.
ReplyDeleteLove the facecloths!
Fox. : )
It is rather mind boggling. We also have only cell phones in this area because the phone lines have been stolen!
DeleteThose are all fabulous!!! Love the colors and designs!!! :)
ReplyDeletePretty face cloths!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time imagining what anyone would do with a length of electrical cable. Of course this explains why I am not a thief, I guess.
I think the thieves sell the copper inside the cables. What puzzles me is how they steal the cables without electrocuting themselves!
DeleteOh right! They must be more clever than we think! How desperate they must be...
DeleteWhat a bizarre situation, although people seem to be going to great lengths to steal copper. The uncaring attitude about causing a major power outage is reprehensible, in addition to the brazen act itself.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly keep forging ahead with so many projects, and you even wrote out the folded hearts instructions! I'd like to give those a try! The washcloths are so cute and colorful. Love the fish, too!
