Round 3

Round 3 is done. I'm a little wary of 'easy' rounds because that's where I tend to make mistakes. But I've looked it over and think it's all in order. It might benefit from muskaan's rolling pin method of blocking. Problem is, my rolling pin tends to have bits of pastry adhering to it!

  1. Lovely! I also tend to make mistakes on "easy" rounds! I haven't tried my rolling pin on tatting. I think I would have to have a dedicated rolling pin, and there's just no more room in the house!

  2. Me, too! ;-P Which is why I prefer to tat something that requires mindfulness.
You could place a clean towel/cloth over the damp lace and roll your pin over it - works just fine without any finger-licking pastry adhering to it 🤩 In fact I Love the wet outline marks that transfer to the dry cloth - try it

  3. "easy" is subjective. The most difficult choral pieces to pull off are unison (where everyone sings the same note, no harmony) as we all must agree together! I like the way your version is coming along.
