We're Back

The computer is back with a new keyboard, Jack is back with new arteries around his heart - well, not really new because they were taken from his left leg - and I'm back. Thanks for all the kind comments on my previous post, I appreciate your support!

I decided I needed a bigger bag for hospital visiting. I used Maria Wallin's Biabag tutorial  to help me, but I made the bag bigger and simpler. I used two fabrics instead of three, no interfacing and left off the side pockets and the pocket with a flap. I'm pleased with how it turned out, but I'm not sure that I'm well suited to a bag with a lot of pockets - you have to remember which pocket a thing is in, and put it back in the same pocket when you're done with it!

  1. I'm glad to hear the good news that Jack is back at home, and your new bag is lovely, pockets or not. I always have to rummage in mine, and the car keys always fall to the very bottom.

  2. Your bag looks great!!! :)
And it seems to have potential for tatting embellishments!

  5. So happy to see you back on line,
Glad that your husband is home and recovering, it’s not easy when they are in hospital
That is a lovely bag, it’s strange they go into hospital and there seems to be mountain of stuff that has to go backwards and forwards.
Perhaps some tatting embellishments would give the bag your personal touch

  6. What a way to recycle, Jack ;-P
I agree about too many pockets! And especially in a clutch purse - who had the brilliant idea to have so many compartments and pockets there ?!
Yes, the bag deserves some tatting :-)

  8. I'm familiar with that procedure Jack had - hope his leg is recovering as well as the rest of him (and you!!!). Things may taste/smell bad for a while too - they certainly did for my dad.

Hang in there. And the bag is great!

    1. That’s interesting, yes Jack is finding food less appetising, I hope that improves soon.

  11. Good news! Best wishes for thorough healing for Jack. Love the bag - I know what you mean, but I love all those pockets and compartments in a bag. At least the lost items are contained somewhat, haha!
