Half

I'm not absolutely convinced this will work for the back of my cushion, but it is more a semicircle than half a hexagon. The back of the cushion has to have an opening, so has to be worked in two parts. I couldn't find a pattern for a crocheted semi-circle so had to do a lot of experimenting and unraveling! I struggled to get the top edge straight, so I worked a strip and then attached the rows as I went along.

  1. Ah! So, it will have an envelope style closure. Great idea!

  2. This is a tricky one, you have come up with a good solution. I was thinking about it and thought if you crochet a long chain that fit half way around your cushion and across the top and then join them up into a half circle shape and continued to crochet as normal into the shape. I don't know if all this makes sense but I think it may work.

  4. Looking good why not have the opening at the side of the cushion rather than in the middle of the back, it might be easier to make tge back pain. Or even another flower so you have one back and front

  5. I would happily have the opening on the edge but the competition rules specify otherwise!

  7. Your design is very smart and making it in two pieces allows you to be able to clean it easily. Well Done.
