These are numbers 63 and 64. I wasn't paying enough attention on 64, perhaps because it's pretty straight forward, and didn't keep the bare thread that goes from one brown ring to the next on the same side on all the rings. You can see if you look closely.
These motifs inspired by nature are good for using up small lengths of thread. I've been on a mission to empty spools and have quite a few to show for it:
I think that gives the vein in #64 a lovely natural curve !
ReplyDeleteGood reason to hit the stores to re-stock :-)))
I like your leaves, very useful when tatting flowers
ReplyDeleteGreat leaves!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love emptying spools of thread, such an achievement and the feeling that there will be more room in the cupboard, box, shelf or wherever you store them. But then you buy more.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do with all these leaves?
They're part of my project to work through the Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito, I don't have a specific use for them. I'm sure they'll come in handy eventually.
DeleteI agree with muskaan. Congratulations on the success of your mission. I've been working toward that goal, too, but the spools don't contain small amounts of thread. I'm just trying to use up some of my older threads.
ReplyDeletelovely leaves, great idea to empty spools this way
