Thanks for all the comments yesterday. I'd been working so closely on the sock that I'd lost sight of how spectacular it is!
It's pleasant working on the second sock without having to make decisions about colour combinations or how to adapt the pattern.
I think the heart motif is the part of this sock pattern that I love best! - and the colours as well, when you eventually get them back from judging, I hope you're going to enjoy wearing them because they look lovely and snuggly.
ReplyDeleteMmm. Supposed to be for a teenager,I might be warm mutton dressed as lamb!
ReplyDeleteWhat rubbish, Jane. You're NOT warm mutton dressed as lamb. I've met you and I KNOW you could wear those socks and look fantastic too. It's not the age you are but the age you feel. I'd wear them and I'm lots older than you.
DeleteJust has a look at the first sock and wow just think it is fab. Oh I would wear them Jane, doesn't matter what age you are. Good luck with the second.
ReplyDeleteI usually dislike making the second sock but I can see why this would be fun to do! It really is gorgeous, I loved the flowers too!
ReplyDeleteI like the individual patterns in the sock & your colours bring them out beautifully :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, 'warm mutton dressed as a lamb' - new to me!
Knowing you, you will fly right through this one. :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear them, Jane! Just think of the spring they would put in your step!
ReplyDeleteLove those little flowers added to the sock, watching the second one grow with awe.
ReplyDeleteSecond sock is looking good so far, so much easier just to copy than to work out the pattern and colours
