Here Be Dragons

I'm showing the dragon socks on my feet, but they're not for me, they're for Lizzie.  Thanks to Maureen for giving me the idea of having the dragons facing in different directions on the two socks. The chart for the dragons is by Sandra Jager, Red Dragon chart, on Ravelry. The natural wool is handspun, the black and red commercial sock wool.

  1. Gorgeous! That was a great tip from Maureen :-)
Awesome knitting ... after all the gymnastics you employed for knitting them you even managed to add mirror-imaging !

Glad they are not for you ....the little ducklings might've feared the dragons ;-P

  2. Great socks, love the way you knitted the dragons facing different ways. And with the welsh dragon, well done

  3. What wonderful socks! I'm full of admiration.

  4. Wow - that was fast! They are lovely and I am very impressed at the handspun that is the right size and useable . . . not all of mine ends up being both at the same time.

    1. That the wool is commercially carded certainly helped. I used very small sections at a time to be able to spin it finely.
