I'm still tatting hearts. The lower one is Heart's Desire by Susan Fuller, tatted in size 40 thread. I way over filled the pink shuttle, so used the left over thread to tat SweetHeart by Birgit Phelps. I didn't block them because I'll get them properly into shape as I sew them to the food cover.
All these heart are lovely, I must be repetitive here :)
ReplyDeleteLovely ! Every time I come across Heart's Desire, I have the strongest desire to make it -- some day soon perhaps.
ReplyDeleteJane, have you noticed how many of Birgit's patterns are derived or adapted from the basic magic square flow ?!
You could be right. I do know I like her hearts but haven't really analysed why. Perhaps it's the magic. ;-)
DeleteI loved your dragonfly food covers, it will be fun to see the hearts one when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hearts to start spring!! : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hearts and colours, admire the way you make all these food covers, almost tempting me to make some!
ReplyDeleteThose food covers are beautiful and I bought a used book " the art of tatting" by Katharin L. hoare. and when I look at the covering for a glass of water, I think of you :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Hearts and especially the Hearts Desire, I wonder if Susan Fuller ever thought this heart would be so popular. I tat it at least once a year, it was one of my first needle tatted gifts.
ReplyDeleteMore lovely hearts! Isn't it fun to get on a streak like this? I'm really enjoying seeing these little beauties!
