Wood Rose

This pattern is by Usha on In Tatters. The pattern is written in a 'non standard' (Usha's words) format. Specifically, it has been put in a table. My mind boggled, but it's clearly not a terribly complicated pattern, so I persisted and did get the hang of it. I'm thinking of using it on a food cover together with Victat's rose, I think they'll go well together.

  1. Super cute and so tiny I like it. It's hard to write out directions. This one looks like lots of turns

  2. I CANNOT believe you tackled that pattern! I could not make head nor tails of it. My admiration for your critical thinking ability has sky-rocketed!

    1. :-) I printed it out ( all 4 pages) and then looked at it carefully - if you read across the grid, each line is more or less what a written line of pattern would be. In conjunction with the diagram and a photo of the rose, I deciphered it! I did think of rewriting it in 'normal' fashion, but I thought it might be bad manners to do that to someone else's pattern.

    2. You'll find the simpler version on In Tatters, same thread.
