I've finished the zigzag bracelet. It took me a while, but I learnt a lot in the process. Note to self, another thing I learnt is that a rope with a bigger circumference is stiffer. When
this blue bracelet was stiff, I thought the thread must be thicker than my usual thread, but now I realise it was just because of the bigger circumference. Aha.
That's interesting. I never would have imagined that a larger bracelet would be stiffer. I seem to learn something new every day! Your bracelet is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely zig zag beaded bracelet. Interesting about the circumference affecting the stiffness. You are a wealth of knowledge dear! <3
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it though it does look very challenging.
ReplyDeleteI've ben following the evolution of these beaded bracelets - so I think I can now appreciate the end result. Like Jane, I think it looks terribly complicated, but it must be extremely satisfying to have worked through all the problems.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, this must have been one of the hardest patterns to do and it is one of your best,
ReplyDeleteAn interesting twist from where this started :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the diamonds it creates.
Now that you mention the relation between cross-section and stiffness, it seems so logical ;-D
Yes, it does. It explains why you see pics of short, thick necklaces and thin dangly ones!
