Well, I've finished making a crocheted blanket for my grandson. The yarn is handspun wool. The cream colour is natural, the other colours I dyed using my microwave. The pattern is
here. It only took me a few weeks to make, so a blanket can be crocheted pretty quickly if I don't work on other projects simultaneously. But there are many other crafts and things waiting, so although I have another blanket planned, I do think it'll go more slowly!
Lovely, and sure it will be warm too.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of crochet and tatting is that you can put it down and pick it up at any time.

Lovely !!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it warm to work with wool at this time ?
It should be impossible, the weather is so hot, but actually it's fine. I think because it's a natural fibre. And the project required the right level of inspiration. It's hard to be enthusiastic in this weather!
DeleteIt's really wonderful and I bet nice and warm!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful and warm, I am sure he's going to be as snug as a bug in it,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing the blanket, it's beautiful!

ReplyDeleteShhh! Don't tell my grandchildren about your beautiful blankets. I don't have time to crochet right now!
ReplyDeleteA nice warm blanket is just what you need to keep the cold from biting your toes!
