Annika is starting school, just one day a week to begin with, and needs a bag to put her books in. I copied a bookbag that my cousin gave me. I've been using it for several years and have only just realised how clever the strap arrangement is. It looks like two straps but is actually one. It reinforces the bottom without obstructing the opening. Aha.
Thank you for showing, I like it!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful fabric too!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, love the animals on that bag!! I am sure it will be a great help!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I wish I could sew as well as you.
ReplyDeleteGreat bag, love the material, I have a pair of elephants printed like that on their bodies.

Fabulous bag. My mother made bags with this type of handles because they are stronger.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great book bag!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is wonderful. Great idea for the straps too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing this out & sharing. Never really thought about it ...
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, if handle straps are attached along the edge, the fabric tends to take all the stress & can wear away quickly. Great way to spread the stress evenly & make it durable!
A lovely practical bag, the straps should hold plenty of school books!
ReplyDeleteJust love bags and this one is really special, great idea with the straps too.
