Pictures

Well, the electricity has been restored and my son has given me instructions for transferring photos from my phone, so herewith a picture of Jane Eborall and I, taken in Stratford-upon-Avon, as promised.

Another tatting highlight of my trip was the arrival of this book:
It would never have occurred to me to look for this book, but my sister-in-law noted how my face lit up when an image of it appeared on her computer screen, and then went to a lot of effort to get it for me. The book is second hand but in mint condition. I'm really looking forward to tatting the spinning wheel mat and other patterns that I have admired on tatters' blogs. Lucky, aren't I?

  3. A hardcover copy! - what a special gift to receive. You've had an exciting holiday - I seem to remember blog posts detailing the knitting of that lovely cardigan you're wearing, am I imagining that? - I couldn't find any references to it, - is it a commercial pattern? - I love it.

    1. Thank you. That's my favourite cardigan, many, many years old!! I spun the yarn, one thread wool and one thread mohair plyed together. The pattern is a commercial one, Autumn Leaves from The Country Diary Book of Knitting by Annette Mitchell.

    2. Thank you Jane! - I was sure you had blogged about it! There seem to be lots of second hand copies of the book still around, I will certainly track it down when we return from our trip. You're a very good knitwear model!
