The Beaderie

My brother and sister-in-law made a special trip to take me to The Beaderie in Cambridge. It was the owners' first day in their new, larger shop so they were still getting organised, but oh, what glorious beads. I got a bit carried away. Anyway, these Czech Fire-Polished Beads come from The Beaderie in Cambridge. The pattern is my own.

My computer has died again. My friendly computer man is doubtful that he will be able to revive it. The best I can hope for is that he'll be able to retrieve my documents and pictures. I'm using Jack's computer, which is very up-to-date, so requires a whole lot more learning! Sigh...

  2. That necklace is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! :)
I can fully relate to the computer situation after just losing 2 hard drives with tons of photos and files, and then the frustration of learning a whole new up-to-date system(I really want my ancient system back!!). Hope you do better with yours, than I am still doing with mine!!! :)

  3. Very pretty !
    Love the large beads :-)
All the very best with your computer & documents, etc. Technology can be so unreliablessed, but one can no longer live without IT .

  7. Another gorgeous variation of your split-ring necklace! I've always wanted to try the basic pattern / technique! You have a knack for choosing the right thread colors and beads! Seems that you had a great time on your trip to England!

Computers are both fantastic and exasperating at the same time. It's so difficult to keep up with the constant system updates and changes within software, and also remembering to keep all the devices charged up! I'm envious that Jane E seems to comprehend how computers work!
