Hexagons

This is a sample for 'Sweet Hexagon Cowl', designed by Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark, published by Interweave Press. I've spun the yarn for the cowl. Now I'm dithering about the dyeing. I'm thinking in terms of pinks/green/blue colours. I could dye all the skeins in the same combination of these colours, so it would look like the sample. Or I could dye each skein in a different combination of colours, keeping one colour constant throughout. Or I could make each skein one colour, not too evenly dyed to enhance the hexagon structure, similar to the original pattern.  Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

  2. I think the last Idea would be good to show off the structure because I have never seen such a pattern for knitting!

  5. Wow, each choice could really change your final piece! I like the one color constant throughout but I bet all of them would be wonderful!

    1. First step would be to invent a 'half hexagon' so that the sides could be made straight. I'm sure it's possible!

  9. Such perfection in each stitch !! I think you should make some money by teaching this on line via skype or other.... You can make some money by allowing advertising on your web page - if you get one.
You are a professional and quite a veteran at this! Keep going .....
