I thought I had better write the pattern for Under an African Sky doily while I was still familiar with it. Here's a link to the
PDF pattern. There is also a link on the right hand side of this page under Pattern Links. If you find any mistakes or have any queries or suggestions do let me know, thanks.
It's so generous of you to share your magnificent pattern - I'm not sure I'm up to coping with all that Celtic work myself, but just to be able to read the instructions, and to see how you achieved this beautiful result is an education in itself.
ReplyDeleteHopefully even if no one makes the doily as such, it could give others ideas for other projects.
DeleteThank you for sharing your gorgeous pattern
ReplyDeleteMargaret
Thank you it's really titled well too!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Jane, that is an awesome doily.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's so wonderful -- colors and the animals. This is one I really want to do!
ReplyDeleteSo thoughtful of you to share that doily pattern!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've written the pattern already! And it contains many techniques! It's certainly great practice for the SCMR interlocking rings technique from God's Kid, plus your amazing addition of the thrown off rings, and I don't know if the judges could possibly realize how groundbreaking those techniques are for shuttle tatters! And there's the wonderful addition of the block animals. I was curious how exactly you attached them!
ReplyDeleteThis doily is a work of art, as is the pattern! It is very generous of you to share it! Thanks so much!
