Most of these are decorated with the tatting I did when I worked through The Tatted Artistry of Teiko Fujito in 2016. I hesitated to use them on masks that will be sold to strangers. But when a friend of our died recently, the contents of his house were basically shoveled into trash bags by strangers. Rather put things to use. Any use.
How sad that someone's treasures should be shoveled into trash bags, but I know that's what can happen. I like your idea of sharing tatting through mask decorations.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to put them to good use and spread cheer. If only we can dispose off our possessions while still alive.
ReplyDeleteGreat tatted pieces!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMarvelous mask. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are sharing beauty with the world, not only will the people enjoy wearing something beautiful, others will see it and be enriched. I’m so glad you are doing this.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are putting your tatting out into the universe to be admired by others. Perhaps when the mask has finished its purpose the tatting will be removed and live on and on.
ReplyDeleteLet’s hope so!
DeleteHow's the saying go? One man's junk is another man's treasure. Yeah, I think that's it. Let's encourage everyone to be the Queen of repurpose!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use tatting to decorate masks! And one never knows, that mask may make the difference in saving someone's life.
ReplyDeleteGreat color. Lace is more beautiful in a mask than in a closet.
