Alice in Wonderland

Carollyn said this reminded her of Alice in Wonderland. I rather like that, so here it is at last, my Alice-in-wonderland-cardigan. Finishing took me longer than I expected. I know the finishing stages take time, and yet I'm always taken aback by just how long that is. Anyway, I'm pleased with the result and I think it looks better on than off. I made it up as I went along, so there's no pattern to link to.  It is worked in one piece to the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round downward from the shoulder. I didn't work buttonholes or buttons, I plan to wear it open.

  5. This is marvelous. You should write the pattern if you could. It makes me want to finally learn intarsia knitting.

  6. It turned out perfectly! And looks very warm as well. I wish I could knit without a pattern, I have been trying to make a jumper for my grandson's monkey. He has a big head, so a normal teddy pattern isn't going to fit, and I can't use any buttons because they will be eaten.

    1. Could you use velcro or a zip perhaps? Or tie ends? They might get sucked on, but if they're firmly attached could work.
