I"m working on
round 10 of the Spring doily, little butterflies around the roses. I've taken a leaf from
Jane Eborall's book and used very small picots to stabilise the rings. It took me a few goes to get it right. Joining all the rings together was a mistake. Instead I've joined the top two together and the bottom two together. The top pair are a bit wobbly at the moment, but will be held in place by the next round.
That's a great tip, one I often forget until after the fact. I think this is going to be a very pretty round!
ReplyDeleteI’m still plugging away at round 9 so this is wonderful bonus information! How many stitches before your vsp? Two? Thank you for the advice!
ReplyDeleteYes, 2. So it’s 10+8vsp2cl. 2+8+10cl. Twice.
DeleteThanks! Still meandering through nine but I’m hopeful about this weekend
DeleteLooking wonderful!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe stabilising picots are pretty useful in a lot of situations! Nicely done :-)
