Edging 89 is a rings-only pattern. Frothy, I'd call it. I think it would work better as an insertion than an edging. Edging 90 is pretty but pedantic, with a lot of ends to hide. The picture shows it with all the rings in the same colour, but I thought that if I had to keep stopping and starting anyway, I could make the flowers in different colours and use up short lengths of thread. A short length like this makes a pretty bookmark.
The pedantic edging appeals to me!I suppose many yards of the frothy one would be effective around the hemline of a skirt - especially in colour.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I can picture that edging/insertion in a pretty blouse! I like the way you've used the flower edging to use up ends of thread, although I'm not a big fan of starting, stopping, and hiding ends. It does make a pretty bookmark!
ReplyDeleteEnds, ends, yuck but what a pretty result! It makes for a lovely bookmark.
ReplyDeleteI agree it would make a nice bookmark, bracelet or as an insertions, very pretty as a flower insertion for a pillow case too
ReplyDeleteBoth edgings are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like both ! 'Frothy' is very apt and nice effect.
ReplyDeleteOh, and your picots are so even in frothy ! Great job !
ReplyDeleteBoth look fabulous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think both would make great bookmarks!!! :)
Both of these edgings look beautiful however they also look very tedious and time consuming.
