Good and Bad
The good thing was that we had a much needed shower of rain on Tuesday night. The bad thing was that lightning struck a transformer and we had no electricity for 24 hours. The good thing is that tatting doesn't require electricity. The bad thing, rather oddly, is that without television to distract part of my brain I make mistakes and have a lot of un-tatting to do! These are Grace Tan's 'Jane's Bookmark Cross', there's a link to the pattern on the sidebar.

Oh no! I'm the same. I tat while doing other things, e.g.watching tv, sitting in meetings, listening to audio books, etc. I'm a much better tatter that way! These crosses are so lovely. I'll have a lot to make for graduation this year so this is one on the list!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's not just me that tats better with something else going on!
Deleteyea I know what you mean, the crosses look great really perfect stitching this must be a good pattern!
ReplyDeletegoodness, do you have a generator to keep your refrigerator and freezers running?
ReplyDeleteWe do have a generator, thankfully. It uses a lot of fuel, so we just have it on for a few hours in the evening. I just try to keep fridges and freezers closed as much as possible.
DeleteI have just read your piece to my husband who replied I know someone else like that.
ReplyDeleteIf you want rain I can send you some by the bucket full you only have to ask, It's blowing a gale, dark, and very cold.
