link to the pattern. In looking for the link, I see that there are beads dangling from the bottom of the tulip, though they're not shown in the diagram. I think it looks a bit like a fuschia, but that may just be because I'm more familiar with fuschias than tulips. The green ones are Petal Dancer by Rachael Mohler. The pattern can be found on the Online Tatting Class, here. I had to learn to do a ring on a ring for that pattern. I watched Rachael's video and aha, I've learnt something new! I used size 40 thread to start with, but I didn't like the look of the earring, so I started again with size 20 thread. I did use size 40 thread for the cross earrings, which are by Tatting Box on Facebook. I added a bead to the bottom ring of the multicolour pair.

Adding that bead at the bottom of the cross earring has given it weight, they always seem to be off centre, must remember to add a bead.ReplyDelete
I like the tulip earrings they look nice. And of course Rachel's pattern is lovely I tried to add a ring on ring, I got in such a mess I left it for another day, perhaps I was not feeling my best when I tried.
Four great sets of earrings.
I had hoped the bead would add weight, but it's so small and light that it doesn't really. I thought of hanging a drop bead from the bottom perhaps?Delete
They're all so pretty! They make me wish I could wear earrings!ReplyDelete
I agree with you on the purple. That should have had a different name, am I wrong, don't they call the fuchsia another name like bleeding heart? And to me the crosses look like pretty angels, I really like them.ReplyDelete
People call plants by different names, but to me a bleeding heart is a vine, whereas a fuschia is a bush. Fuschias come in a lot of different colours, pinky purply colours, where the bleeding heart is white and red.Delete
I would think it does need some weight. some beads are heavier than others. I have some earrings that have no weight, they really don't hang right.ReplyDelete
I like your tulip/fuschia earrings, they are pretty and interesting. I think the dangly beads would make it look quite different
Your earrings look wonderful!!! :)ReplyDelete
I agree with the tulips looking like fushia(and I am very familiar with tulips growing up around many!!). :)
Love the crosses and all the colors!! :)
