Bigger Doodad, Thicker Thread
At the weekend, Diane the Lace Loving Librarian, asked the Tollway Tatters for ideas on how to adapt her Snow Crystal Pattern to use a bigger doodad in the middle. Sue Anna suggested using size 10 thread rather than size 20. Aha, it's one of those 'Why didn't I think of that?' ideas. I may do this again and make the middle rings slightly bigger, but really the idea works very well. Thanks Diane and Sue Anna! The thread here is Cebelia size 10 that I rainbow-dyed. It would probably be better for me to sew the ends in and attach another thread at the top for hanging, but I haven't got that far yet.

Isn't it amazing that changing the thread size can make such a huge difference? I love the color!
