Brown/Green

I plyed the green and brown threads together yesterday morning, then washed and dried the skeins. I even started knitting in the evening, the third pair of socks for an order.

  1. Beautiful colors! Do you spin merino wool? I wonder if you can tell me what the wool microns are like in the sheep in your area. I have realized that there is a lot of variation in merino.

    1. Yes, it’s merino. You’re right, there is a wide range. I chose in the medium, I didn’t want it too fine or it would felt too easily. I’ll have to look up the specifications of what I bought and come back to you.

    2. It's 21.5 microns. I bought 10kgs of it. Which is a lot of socks!

    4. It's normal merino. Our Finnish sheep has 23 microns, but crossbreeds often have more, sometimes even 30 microns.
