Spot The Tatting

Butterfly is the second of the five puppets. I tatted some antennae for it, can you see? I like figuring out how to do the different elements to resemble the pictures in the book. The butterfly should be able to flap its wings, especially if it's worn with the wings on the palm of the hand.

  1. Which do you prefer making - these puppets or the larger towel animals? Though smaller, these puppets seem to require the same attention to detail, and time?

    1. They’re pretty fiddly. I’m happy to do them as a one off, but I wouldn’t want to do too many of them.

  2. Fun! If you finished this a just a puppet, not meant to be used for washing, you could use Dorset buttons to decorate the wings! ;-)
