I didn't do the Renulek Spring doily last year, but I really want to do it this year. Question is, do I have enough thread? I have a condition called SABLE - stash accumulated beyond life expectancy - but nonetheless, it's surprising how often I don't have the requirements for a specific project! Renata said in her initial post that her napkin used 90g in size 20 thread. I had a look through my stash and found two 50g balls of size 40 white thread, which should be ample.
I might struggle to keep up in the later rounds, there seem to be so many interruptions now I live in town, but I'll see how it goes. In any case there's no obligation to keep up! I have done the first two rounds:
This is a nice start and you can always add a splash of colour in any of the later rounds if you so decide 💖 I have too many other commitments to join in especially after my recent distraction 🤪
ReplyDeleteI think the doily will be even better in size 40 but you’re losing a great excuse not to buy more thread.
ReplyDeleteYou're off to a wonderful start! Thanks for the info on SABLE... now I know what I have ! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe doily will look gorgeous in that pattern
ReplyDeleteHmmm...your TIAS looks like it could be a squirrel or beaver tail. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat start to your doily!! :)
You're right about her tias, we are all puzzling over to guess! Great start for the doily! I won't join this year, I have SABLE and pable maybe, if you substitute 'stash' with 'projects'!!!
ReplyDelete:-) best not add to the pable then!
