An account of the craftwork I get up to, tatting, spinning, knitting, sewing, whatever
Oh phew! But you're right, just do it Jane. You won't be happy until it is done. Gorgeous colors!
it looks as though you may be able to rip it out from the top? - hopefully it won't be too painful. And you're quite right it does have to be fixed, especially as it's for a competition - good luck.
?Reposition a few buttons to work in the slack?
The most important thing is to match the stripes, so that won't work in this case.
Maybe you stretched the side with the buttons, as you were sewing them on one by one and ran out of room as you got to the top? I have done this and now mark them before I sew them on.
Yes, I'm pretty sure you're right, that's what I did.
What a shame but it happens to ALL of us at sometime or another. Good luck with re-doing it.
Oh dear. : (
It would bother me too, so you're right... just do it, Jane!
This is gorgeous. I hate you have to undo some of it, but it has to be done. :-( It's really beautiful.
This is a problem that must be undone, you will get it right in the end.
