Coming Along

I've been working away slowly on my crochet top. I had to redo the upper back because it was too narrow. I felt like Penelope as I undid it and started again. I'm working on the bottom edge, will neaten the neck edge, and then decide whether to make the cap sleeves a bit longer. I was worried that I'd run out of thread, but it looks as though I'll have enough for longer sleeves. It'll mean doing another Penelope and unravelling the ones I've already made.

  1. I love the color! Luckily, crochet is a little easier to "Penelope" than tatting. I like your use of Penelope! I wonder if anyone teaches mythology any more?

  2. You are certainly putting a lot of work in this one! I'm glad you won't run out of thread, I find it so infuriating when it happens!

  3. My first thought was how lovely this is. Then I read your comments and chuckled at he reference to Penelope. Firstly, I wonder how many people would get it and secondly I thought well, if you don’t want to be Penelope, you shouldn’t tempt the fates with using Poppy red yarn! Haha! Gorgeous work, btw.

  4. Lovely as it is, but it's good to have plenty yarn to play with!

  5. I had to look up the Penelope reference before memory awakened ;-P You work at Warp speed, so the P factor can't keep pace with you ;-D
