Front of Top Two
I wonder why I bought pink cotton yarn when I already have a pink knitted top. What was I thinking? Anyway, I'm making this up as I go along. The lacy stitch forms a pleasing scallop on every fourth row, so I turned the 'skirt' upside down to add the bodice. I plan to work the sleeves downwards so that they'll finish with the scallop edge. The double crochet (single crochet in American terms) might be a bit solid, but I like the texture and the contrast with the lacy stitch.

That’s gorgeous. I’m a big fan of pink. I can’t believe you just crochet without a pattern. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI do have a chart for the lacy stitch, scroll down to previous post but one.
DeleteOooh, that is so pretty!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love that you crochet without a pattern... so inspirational!
ReplyDeleteNice looking your a natural designer
ReplyDeleteI used to run a spinning and knitting business and did design knitted garments. I’m not so experienced with crochet though.
DeleteLovely colour. Looking forward to seeing you model it.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! Love the stitch you chose and you did well to keep the bodice plain. You are now a designer is so many thread crafts :-)))
