Spot The Mistake

I spread the blanket out on a table to make sure it's big enough before I start the edging, (it is) and left it there while I prepared breakfast. While I was eating breakfast, I glanced across at the blanket and a misaligned square leapt out at me! Oops.  Jack reckoned I should leave it to show the blanket wasn't made by a machine, but once I'd seen it, I knew it would bother me until I corrected it. It didn't take too long to sort out, that's it with a contrast thread attached.

  1. That was like a "where's Waldo" moment, glad you fixed it but my daughter would have said same thing your husband did 😄💟😄

  2. Jack's a funny guy! My husband would have said the same but like you, it would be the first thing I see or I would look for it each time. Your "patch" is very well done and worth your time, for peace of mind anyway!

  6. It's a beautiful blanket. I'm glad the mistake didn't take too long to fix. The color scheme of the squares gives it a 3D effect from far away.

  12. That is coming out so nicely. I have not crocheted a granny square in over 30 years, but now I am thinking about it after seeing your results. Probably too much tatting to do, though. Wonderful blanket. I agree that it would have been a challenge if tatted.
