A Second Boot Sock
A boot sock for my son-in-law has been lurking for weeks, waiting for a mate. At last I have started on it. It's a toe-up pattern, pretty straight forward, once you get on with it!
I have done that, but I'm a bit dubious about slipped stitch patterns in case they make the knitting tighter? Maybe I should use brioche stitch, which is similar but has a yarn over with the slipped stitch, which should compensate?
I found if I did a 'birds-eye' stitch or a simple heel pattern on the heel rather than straight knitting, the heels did not wear out as fast!
ReplyDeleteNice socks!
