Working on Round 8

I've made a start on Round 8 of Renulek's Spring doily. It has a tendency to flip up, so I'm going to make my picots a bit longer. I don't want to get all the way round and find it doesn't lie flat.

  1. Lovely, looks so dainty in white.

  2. Anetta had the same issue & had to cut off before starting again with longer chains. I'm glad you've taken precautionary measures right away.

  3. I've had the same problem. I didn't change my picot size, because I was afraid it would cause more problems further along. Instead, I've been taming my doily with steam. I'll just have to wait and see how it works out!

  4. Gyönyörű fehér...Én krém sárga színből készítem...Jól értem, hogy nagyobb pikókat kell készíteni a nyolcadik körben, mert különben összehúzza a kört?

    1. I hope that just making the picots longer will stop it curling, but I might have to make the chains longer.

  7. I'm having a similar problem, but like Diane, I'm steaming it into submission, hoping to keep the next round in check.

  8. I had to press this row a bit. Some of the rings from row 5 started to lean off to one side,

  11. Round 8 tends to pull up. I think it should be 8-8-8 on the chains. I do know I found 2 mistakes in the pattern.
