Tatting Order

Lavender won out over poppy and flame lily, I have an order for ten 'bunches' of lavender, to go on top of funeral urns.  They're taking longer than I expected, but I'm working on it! I may deliver five and then take a gap before doing the other five. The butterfly is Jane Eborall's Very Small SCMR butterfly, which can be found under Doodles on her pattern page.

Muskaan's Poppy

I was asked if I could tat a flower to go on the top of a funeral urn. I'll give it a go! The first flower that came to mind was the poppy on muskaan's patterns page. It's been on my to-do list for ages, so this was a good chance to try it out. Of course, my first attempt has a number of faults, but it was alright for a sample. When Myriam collected it, she asked if I could tat a sprig of lavender. Mmm, I expect so. Anyone know of a pattern for lavender? I'll have a go at making one up, but if there's already one out there, I'm keen to hear about it.

Different Style

This one is a departure from my go-to pattern, both in style and in that it's a lariat rather than a necklace fastened with a press stud. I've used this poppy pattern before, as a bracelet. The glass 'leaf' at the end was made by my sister-in-law, Clare Gaylard.
