Travel Tatting Update

I did less tatting on my travels than I expected. I tatted in airports, but tatting on a long haul flight turned out not to be feasible. The blinds were drawn and the lights turned off to darken the cabin, even though the sun was blazing outside. In theory I could switch on a little light above my head; in practice that would disturb other passengers. So be it. I've made a start and will continue Mary Konior's Curds and Whey edging at home.

I had a wonderful holiday, meeting up with family and friends and seeing a different part of the world. My son-in-law took this picture to show that I really was in Australia!

  1. The tatting is beautiful! I have some travel tatting in my purse that has been a work in progress for almost three years. I don't mind. I like that I have it with me if the opportunity to tat arises.

I'm glad you had a wonderful trip! Do you see kangaroos everywhere? I'd be nervous about being that close to them because of their powerful legs and tails. Great photo!

    1. No, I was in danger of going home without seeing a single kangaroo! So Dave and the girls took me to a park-like cemetery where kangaroos hang out. They hopped away if we got too close.

    1. :-) alas no, I didn't see any koalas. I'm told that they're are not indigenous to Western Australia, though I guess you could find them in a zoo somewhere.

  9. Very gorgeous and in my beautiful BLUES! I find traveling rather hectic and crowded now days and not conducive to handwork. Happy Easter...
