I had another go at tatting Jon's
Daisy Picot Star using two colours. This time I was careful to use Cebelia 20 on both shuttles. Yesterday I tried a two colour version using green Cebelia and Milford 20 for the 'flowers'. Milford is more tightly spun than Cebelia, so the green had a tendency to show through. This looks better. Here it is together with the single colour version:
Love the daisy picot technique and this shows off both colours really well.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful!! :)
ReplyDeleteI learned Daisy Picots from Jon. What a lovely snowflake.
ReplyDeleteYou got it right this time :-D Threads can make such a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteI like this 2-colour version
they look very happy for some reason love the colors :)
ReplyDeleteNice effect! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love both but agree that the lovely technique is more visible in two colours
ReplyDeleteI do like the two colors, and I appreciate learning about how two different brands of threads can make a difference in the appearance. Lovely star!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern two colours work well together
ReplyDeleteThis star is so pretty and in two colors. I would think that changing colors would be lots of tedious work and hiding of threads. Good information on the difference between the thread types. Beautiful! <3
