A Mess of Geckos?
I tried to find out what the collective noun for geckos should be. The closest I could find was a 'mess of iguanas', according to tiny-on-line. I hope my geckos aren't too messy!
I'm going to guess that since in nature, you probably won't see geckos just staying together collectively, (like a herd of lions), they don't have a collective name. (I know nothing about geckos though, but they just don't seem like community animals) That's very interesting though.
I'm sure you're right, I very much doubt that there is a collective noun for geckos! In Zimbabwe there used to be a man who whistled and called up great numbers of lizards to eat crumbs from his hand. But they're not normally seen in herds.
Not messy at all! I especially like the blue one with the beaded spine!
ReplyDeletePerhaps a "mass" of geckos? They look great!
